Your dog will need to be up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations to attend in-person classes.
All records sent in must have the dates they received the shot on them and must be signed or initialled by the vet.
If records are from outside of Canada or the U.S., we also need to see an invoice from a vet visit since the dog’s arrival in Canada.
Dogs Under 16 Weeks (Puppy Start Right, Puppy Socials): Need to have received appropriate vaccinations/boosters for their age. First vaccination is mandatory before coming to any in-person classes.
- First vaccines are received around 8 weeks of age (DAPPv or DHPP).
- Second and third vaccines (boosters) are generally given 3 to 4 weeks later, at 12 weeks and 16 weeks old.
- If your puppy is over 16 weeks old, we will need to see a copy of their third vaccine (DAPPv, DHPP, and/or Rabies).
Please note, if your puppy received their first vaccinations at 5 weeks or younger, they are not valid, and so they will need their second set of vaccines for a least a week before getting started in classes.
Dogs 16 Weeks and Older (Foundation Skills, Private Lessons, and other classes): Need to have received their third booster and/or rabies vaccinations. We must receive a copy of their most recent vaccination record. This can be either their DAPPv/DHPP or their rabies vaccination.
